Supported Housing and Floating Support for Young People (Swindon)
Main contract details
Swindon Borough Council invite expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced service providers for the provision of accommodation based support and floating support services for young people aged 16 to 25 living in Swindon.
Swindon Borough Council is seeking to commission housing and support for around 150 young people and young families living in Swindon. This will consist of accommodation based support and floating support.
The purpose of this service is to provide housing and support for young people who cannot maintain independent living. The overall aim of this service is to provide service users with skills and confidence to enable them to move on to and maintain independent living with little or no ongoing support.
The contract will be tendered as four lots:
Lot 1: Up to 75 units of accommodation based support for single people offering 24/7 staff cover
Lot 2: Up to 25 units of accommodation based for single people support offering weekday support
Lot 3: Up to 25 units of accommodation based support for young parents offering weekday support
Lot 4: Floating support for up to 50 single people and young parents.

The contract will be for an initial term of three and a half years to run from 1st October 2017 to 31st March 2021. There is an option for the Council to extend for two additional periods of two years each, subject to satisfactory contract performance, meeting KPIs and budget availability. The total maximum term is seven and a half years.
