A special educational needs and disability information, advice and support service (SENDIASS)

The Council is considering options to provide SENDIASS services including procuring the services from a provider.

Scope: SEND Information Advice and Support Services (SENDIASS) provide free impartial, confidential and accurate information, advice and support about education, health and social care for children, young people and their parents on matters relating to special educational needs and disability.
Cornwall Council has a specific duty to provide information, advice and support service to children, their parents and carers and young people with SEND (special educational needs and/or disability) as defined in Parts 19 and 32 of the Children and Families Act 2014. The provision of this service enables Cornwall Council to fulfil its obligations in line with the 2014 SEND Code of Practice.


Expected contract duration: 5 + 2 years

The Council is running a focused market engagement process to provide an overview of the services , the timeline and the procurement process. This will include a provider engagement session planned for the 25th July 2024 11.00am to 1:00pm.

Providers will have the opportunity to ask questions or provide feedback on service delivery and the procurement process during the session or by message through the Pro Contract e-tendering solution up to 26th July.

Providers are invited to express interest in participating in the engagement process.
