Description
Provision of various metal fabrications, structural repairs and associated maintenance support services at the Tamar Bridge & Torpoint Ferry.
There are many routine and ad-hoc maintenance requirements, as well as smaller projects across both services, for instance -

• Contract support services – on-site welding inspection and testing
• Welding, maintenance, repairs and metal fabrications on board the ferries
• Maintenance and repairs to shore side infrastructure such as ferry chain gantries
• Minor structural repairs to bridge structure, gantries and runway beams
• Bridge and ferry inspection support
• Routine annual maintenance activities – greasing, cleaning bearing and joints etc.
• Larger one-off contracts such as major bridge access improvements, parapet trials
• General labour support – ferry chain replacement, ferry gantry maintenance

Please note that existing arrangements involve the present contractor typically attending at TB&TF sites each month for a duration of anywhere between 1-10 days depending on workloads and client requirements.

Suitably qualified and experienced contractors are invited to attend a Supplier Information Event, scheduled to take place at the Tamar Bridge Offices, commencing from 2pm on Wednesday 4th September, 2019. Attendance at this event is not mandatory but strongly recommended . If you wish to participate in this event please confirm your attendance via the Portal messaging system for this project by advising of your name, organisation., job role and email address, but please note that initially we will have to limit attendees to no more than 2 personnel per organisation.
