Description
<p>Thanet District Council (TDC) owns and directly manages over 3,065 social housing properties in the District , this includes 274 communal blocks, 6 of which are over 18 metres.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>Our properties are located throughout the TDC district in Kent, with concentrations in the towns of Margate, Broadstairs and Ramsgate.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>TDC has taken direct control and management of our homes back in house, and have adopted new policies and procedures to strengthen our approach to building safety for the homes we own. We are committed to keeping our customers safe, and have a strong focus on ensuring building safety, whilst also providing excellent services and homes for our customers.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>We therefore wish to procure a suitably experienced, qualified and competent providers to carry out third party technical auditing of the following Compliance work streams to assist in ensuring we are meeting our statutory obligation.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>The Contract is packaged in 5 Separate Lots:</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>Lot 1. Third Party Technical Auditing - Fire Risk Assessments, Fire Equipment Servicing &amp; Completion of Fire Safety Follow on actions</p>
<p>Lot 2. Third Party Technical Auditing - Compliance Work Streams - Gas Servicing and Installation</p>
<p>Lot 3. Third Party Technical Auditing - Compliance Work Steams - Electrical Testing, Repairs, Upgrades and Installations (Rewires)</p>
<p>Lot 4. Third Party Technical Auditing - Compliance Work Streams - Water Hygiene</p>
<p>Lot 5. Third Party Technical Auditing - Compliance Work Steams - Asbestos Surveys</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>Suppliers can bid for one, multiple OR all Lots.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>The Contract is anticipated to commence upon November 2022 and will continue for a duration of 2 years with two options to extend (at the Council’s discretion), each of 12 months, giving a total possible contract period of four years.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>Important Information: All procurement documents are attached to this notice and available for suppliers to download and complete according to instructions contained.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>The procurement process will be undertaken on the basis of formal Tenders. Evaluation will be on the basis of criteria and methodology as set out in the Invitation to Tender document.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>Any clarifications or questions must be submitted via the Message area of the Kent Business Portal by no later than 14.00hrs on 15 September 2022.</p>

<p>Completed tender documents must be submitted electronically via the Kent Business Portal by no later than 14.00hrs on 23 September 2022.</p>
