Description
The Future Cities Catapult (the Catapult) SME Programme supports SME’s working in the urban innovation sector to scale and grow. Helping SME’s to access international markets around the world is a core feature of the programme.

The Catapult is seeking a delivery partner to support the delivery of a UK Future Cities Mission Programme. The Future Cities Mission programme is an entrepreneurial trade mission that takes 20 young innovative UK companies to overseas markets to rapidly build their networks, know-how and investment opportunities.

The services are dependent on the Catapult’s successful tendering for Innovate UK’s Future Cities Mission Programme. The successful Supplier would work with the Catapult under contract as a sub-contractor.

The successful Supplier is to be included in the Catapult’s tender proposal and if successful will work with the Catapult to deliver Innovate UK’s Future Cities Mission Programme as a delivery partner.

Responsibilities will include:

•   Co-development of Mission goals, strategy and positioning
•   Partner and stakeholder management
•   Programme execution and ongoing coordination with partners
•   Design of mission week agenda – identification, recruitment, briefing and management of hosts
•   Event management of mission week
•   Execution of the Mission week agenda
•   Speaking on behalf companies and partners in briefing and networking events
•   Competition processes for Mission company selection including promotion, webinars, management of applications, judging process, informing applications, ensuring integrity
•   Ongoing management of companies: invoicing, Q&A, logistics, briefing, 1:1 support, coaching, providing them with promotional collateral
•   Management of suppliers (recruitment, negotiation, briefing and payment) •   Mission week logistics: booking and management of flights, coaches, accommodation, food and drink.
•   selecting and recruiting high profile mentors for entrepreneurs (optional).

This project will be led by the Catapult’s SME Programme Team supported by in-house teams such as the Business Development Team, Communications Team, Events Team, as well as Market Analysts.

The Supplier with domain expertise in communication, content and mission delivery will in the first instance work with Future Cities Catapult to establish clear roles and responsibilities and be flexible to refine them along the collaborative journey.
