Integrated Sexual Health Service
Main contract details
<p>The Tees Collaborative Commissioning Partnership are looking to commission an integrated sexual health service:</p>
<ul>
<li>An inclusive, accessible community based genitourinary medicine (GUM) and complicated STI testing and treatment offer <strong>within each Tees local authority area</strong>, with capacity for all levels of contraception provision; This requires
<ul>
<li>a community based and accessible, sexual health clinic in each local authority area providing genitourinary and contraceptive services with focus and capacity to deal with more complex and complicated cases, providing a one stop shop service for STI and contraception</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Majority of (STI and Contraception) reproductive and sexual health needs met in a single consultation
<ul>
<li>A workforce dual trained in contraception and Sexual Health competencies that allows for as many people as possible to be seen be fewer professionals and with fewer onward referrals</li>
<li>The engagement of system partners and the development of pathways to integrate prevention, general and specialist provision and an offer of virtual clinics and home testing</li>
<li>A choice for other non-complicated STI testing to be accomplished via home testing</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>In each local authority area, a range of community based, online / digital opportunities to access contraception and sexual health provision along a single care pathway, with capacity for levels 1, 2 and 3 STI and contraception provision.
<ul>
<li>It is important that a provider is clear what the online / digital offer is and whether this includes a face to face digital offer</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Single reproductive and sexual health patient pathway and clinical governance bringing together all elements of provision to allow for an equitable offer of advice, testing and treatment across providers, system partners and geographies </li>
<li>Development of collaborative pathways between sexual health service provision and the broader system in order to build capacity within these services for prevention, early identification of need and engagement with sexual health support’</li>
