Bidders Day Event for Residential & Nursing Care Providers – Flexible Purchasing System

<p>Trafford are hosting a bidders day on Tuesday 9th May 2023 1pm - 3pm. This event will be held via MS teams with the details included below.&nbsp;</p>
<p>The event is to meet with potential providers to discuss what is planned in relation to a Flexible Purchasing System for Residential and Nursing Care . The FPS will be a framework of approved providers who can access opportunities to provide services in Trafford.&nbsp;</p>
<p>The Council are a key partner in enabling the health and social care economy to work effectively. In order to complement our current placement finding process the Council wishes to procure a Flexible Purchasing System in order to commission Residential and Nursing Care Home beds with the following objectives:</p>
<p>1.&nbsp; Ensuring that the Council are legally compliant and fulfilling their Care Act requirements.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>
<p>2.&nbsp; Improve the process for communication with providers and improve the quality of care residents are receiving.</p>
<p>3. Develop a diverse provider market, which promotes a culture of greater independence for residents rather than dependence.</p>
<p>4. Have clear infrastructure in place where the recording of residents’ support can be monitored and analysed.</p>
<p>5. Clear consistency of approach of bed rates for providers which will be set out via the specification of the framework.</p>
<p>6. Ensuring front line workers are only using providers who are active on the framework and are fully contract compliant.</p>
