The Council are looking to purchase up to ten childrens residential beds, as a block contract within the administrative boundary of Devon County Council, across two Lots. Bidders can bid for either one or both Lots.
Lot 1 Solo Beds – It is our intention to award up to two Beds. A Solo bed is a Provision with a capacity for one child or one young person
Lot 2 Group Beds – It is our intention to award up to eight Beds. A Group Bed is a Provision with a capacity for more than one child or more than one young person.
The specification within the Tender Documentation sets out the requirements for the delivery of placements under the Registered Children’s Homes Block Contract for Children by Devon County Council. Services to be provided under the specification to eligible Children will be within the administrative border of Devon County Council.

DCC will be hosting a tender launch event at 13:00 to 15:00 on July 10th in Exeter. UPDATE 15/5/19:_______________Following on from the Pre Market Event hosted on 29th March, DCC will be hosting an meeting to assist in developing a Joint Working Protocol. This will be developed between DCC Commissioning, Placements, Operational teams, as well as Providers. The meeting will be held on Friday 24th May (12:00 to 16:00) in Exeter. Spaces are limited therefore only single attendee per each Provider, and spaces will be allocated on a first come first served basis. If you wish to attend then please email childrenscommissioningsecure-mailbox@devon.gov.uk who will confirm your attendance and forward you the details of the venue for the event. All materials and notes from the day will be published, and providers who are unable to attend will have the opportunity to comment on these. ___________________________________UPDATE 24/4/19:_______________Following on from the Pre Market Event hosted on 29th March, DCC are looking to develop a Joint Working Protocol for this Tender Opportunity. This will be developed between DCC Commissioning, Placements, Operational teams, as well as Providers.
At this stage DCC are looking at interest and an idea of numbers from Providers who are interested in attending workshops and or assisting in developing this Joint Working Protocol.

These documents will be a focal point of the discussions at the event on 29th March 2019. Please note attendance is limited to two people per Provider._____________________________________________Within the next 6-12 months, DCC will be tendering for Childrens Residential Block Contracts. DCC are currently in the Pre Procurement Stage. In order to ensure DCC is at the forefront of the creation this service, DCC are holding a Discovery Day on 29th March 2019 (09:30 to 13:00) in Exeter. The event will provide an opportunity to bring together potential providers, commissioners, and subject experts to explore what the new service should look like.

The aim of the day is to help inform and shape the service specification, which will be tendered later in the year.

Potential Providers who attend will:
• Hear directly from DCC commissioning leads.
• Listen and speak to local authority subject experts
• Directly influence the service specification.
