Main contract details
Works to include the provision of in ground solar studs, to reduce and minimise negative impacts on nocturnal animals. As well as minor signage and seating facilities, and junction build out and minor highway improvements. Including all associated accommodation and temporary works and associated pedestrian management.
DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENTS
1. The successful contractor shall be required to provide the following services but are not limited to.
- Construction and maintenance of existing bridleways and footways with of new “No binder” resin bound 'flexiwalk' system, that is SuDS compliant and slip resistant, and resistant to freeze-thaw, with a decorative natural aggregate finish up to 3m wide on average.
- Supply and install of in ground solar studs, to reduce and minimise negative impacts on nocturnal animals.
- Supply and install seating facilities.
- Supply and install new bridleway signage as well as route signage.
- Undertake minor highway crossing improvement works.
- Minor site clearance.
- Any associated temporary works.
- Provision of traffic management to facilitate works.
2. Approx Quantities
a. Flexiwalk system – 3,600 – 4,000 m²
b. In-ground solar studs – upto 60 no.
c. Seating areas – 4 no.
d. Bridleway signage – upto 30 no
3. The contract is anticipated to commence in late July 2024.
4. In this regard, Buckinghamshire Council would like to identify vendors that would be interested to participate in the competitive tender process. Qualified vendors are requested to express their interest by submitting their EOI before the closing date above.

Buckinghamshire Council have commissioned Fenn & Fenn to act as Principal Designer to undertake to footway reconstruction design. Your company will be required to act as Principal Contractor for the works delivery.
