Description
Hambleton District Council is seeking to appoint a suitably experienced and qualified grounds maintenance company or organisation to undertake planned and ad-hoc services to facilities which are owned and/or are the responsibility of Hambleton District Council and are located in the Hambleton District administrative area.
The grounds maintenance services are as an example includes but are not limited to and their extents may vary during the agreement:
Planned: Grass cutting, hedge cutting, landscape maintenance, weeding (hand pulling and spraying), sports pitch maintenance
Ad-hoc – Tree surgery and maintenance, tree removal, tree inspection and advice, Japanese knot weed, ragwort
The Hambleton District administrative area is located in North Yorkshire, and stretches from Great Ayton on its northern boundary; its eastern edge is demarked by the Cleveland and Howardian Hills. Its southern boundary borders the City of York and its western boundary is to the west of Bedale.
The works will be undertaken to facilities which include Offices, Leisure Centres, off-street car parks, Public Open Spaces and Closed Churchyards.
The initial contract duration is three years commencing on 1st April 2017 and completing on 31st March 2020 with the option to extend the agreement by 12 or 24 months, with a potential completion date of 31st March 2022.
The contract will be awarded on a price/quality split; tenderers will need to be able to demonstrate previous experience, knowledge and skills in the areas of the planned and ad-hoc services, appropriate and valid industry accreditations, provide appropriate health and safety information and references.
