Swindon Borough Council (and Public Power Solutions Ltd); Insurance Tender

Swindon Borough Council invites expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced service providers for the provision of Insurance Coverage and associated services but excluding broking services

The provisions of a full range of insurance (in part or as a whole) normally purchased by a unitary authority in England. In addition the Authority is seeking to place a range of insurance covers for a wholly owned subsidiary of the Authority, Public Power Solutions Ltd. The subsidiary manages the recycling activity of the Authority including the production of dried product manufactured from kerbside waste. The production process uses hot air only and does not produce any liquid or volatile gaseous emissions. The subsidiary is also active in renewable energy market, acting as a facilitator for those wishing to establish sustainable energy facilities.

Contract Period
The contract for the Authority will be initially for a period of 36 months commencing 1 January 2018 with the option to extend for a further 24 months subject to satisfactory performance and budget availability.

The contract for the subsidiary will be for an initially period of 12 months commencing 1 January 2018 with the option to extend for a further 48 months (in 12 month periods each subject to review before agreement to proceed) subject to satisfactory performance and budget availability.

Questionnaire/ Tender Responses are required to be submitted no later than 24 November 2017, 1200 hours (GMT) in duplicate hardcopy to the Authority.
