CS5607 Family Support (Autism)

<p>For avoidance of doubt <strong>this is not a call for competition at this stage</strong>, the purpose is to advise the market on the forthcoming procurement of London Borough of Tower Hamlets Youth Services and seek feedback from the market that may inform the final specification.</p>
<p>&nbsp;<strong>Description: </strong></p>
<p>A significant proportion of children in Tower Hamlets have a disability with a high level of need. As such, the local authority needs to provide regular support to the families.</p>
<p>There are a number of children and young people with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) needs on the disabled children&rsquo;s database. Diagnosis of ASD is made via the Autism Spectrum Disorder Assessment&nbsp;<em>Service </em>(ASDAS Service).</p>
<p>The London Borough of Tower Hamlets is looking for an appropriate organisation, with experience, innovation and flexible strategies, to provide support to families to help them to meet the needs of their ASD children, including (but not limited to) behaviour management and communication.</p>
<p>&nbsp;The service will be required to take into consideration any national policy drivers that are relevant to ASD children and young people, aimed to improve their outcomes and work in partnership with ASDAS to ensure support to families of diagnosed children and young people.</p>
