Somerset County Council is seeking to hear from organisations that might be interested in delivering a Universal Public Health Nursing (Health Visiting and School Nursing) and Targeted Early Help Service (Children’s Centre Services and the Troubled Families Programme) in Somerset.
Somerset County Council is reviewing the above services. Currently, Public Health Nursing services are commissioned from an external provider and Early Help services are directly provided by the County Council. Somerset County Council is exploring options of how these services will be delivered in the future for our population of 0-19 year olds and their families.
Somerset Children and Young People’s Plan 2016-2019 describes the objective of establishing Early Help hubs which will deliver family support services - this is available on our website and includes other useful information about our strategic direction of travel and future plans (http://www.somerset.gov.uk/policies-and-plans/plans/children-and-young-peoples-plan/).
As part of this process SCC would like to hear views from market providers about the future options and is inviting organisations to attend a soft market testing event on 26th September 2017.
It is anticipated that any new arrangements would commence on 1st April 2019.
A Soft Market Testing event will be held on Tuesday 26th September 2017 and Somerset County Council is inviting organisations to attend that might be interested in delivering these services. The event will be an opportunity to inform and shape future options. Somerset County Council is keen to hear feedback from providers as part of the wider consultation for these services.
Organisations that take part will not be advantaged or disadvantaged in any way in any potential future formal procurement. Commercial confidentiality will be respected. This notice does not represent a formal commitment by Somerset County Council to undertake a procurement procedure.
