MARKET ENGAGEMENT EXERCISE – INTEGRATED SEXUAL HEALTH SERVICES 2021
Main contract details
As part of this preparation, commissioners are keen to engage with a number of potential providers in addition to the Councils incumbent service providers of sexual health services in order to understand market capability which will assist commissioners to develop the service specification.
Currently, the Council is proposing to commission Sexual Health Services through two lots. The details of this are not yet finalised however at this stage it is envisaged the two lots will be separated into specialist integrated sexual health services and a community based delivery model.
Lot 1 – Specialist Integrated Sexual Health Services (Level 1-3) offering equitable access across the district, Outreach, Psychosexual Counselling, Clinical Governance
Lot 2 - Network of community based provision offering a full range of level 1 and level 2 contraception, STI testing and access to treatment and HIV Prevention and Support, Community engagement and health promotion. Consideration should be given to the role of Primary Care and Community Pharmacy in addition to other community based providers.
As part of this dialogue we seek to explore with potential bidders the most appropriate sexual health service delivery model relating to Relationships and Sex Education, Communications & Campaigns, Training and Education, and Child Sexual Exploitation.
The Council intends to meet with up to 8 potential service providers in addition to the Councils incumbent service providers of sexual health services to discuss the development of the districts’ future sexual health provision. These meetings will be allocated on a first come, first serve basis to the 8 potential service providers who respond to this advertisement. Face-to-face meetings will be scheduled for 45 minutes per provider and will be held on 23rd and 28th January 2020. This engagement is aimed at organisations that have experience of delivering sexual health services.
