Mental Health and Dementia Services in Somerset
Somerset County Council (SCC) is seeking interest from organisations that would like to provide either Mental Health or Dementia services in Somerset and is intending to run a procurement process from summer 2016.
In order to contribute to the process of reviewing the current services and determining what services may be required in the future; SCC is planning a discussion/ feedback event for 22nd April 2016 and is inviting organisations that might consider taking part in this process to attend. This is with a view to ensuring that Mental Health and Dementia services in Somerset are modern, transformative and fit for the future from April 2017 onwards.
Services to be discussed on the day will range from community based support right through to more intensive, residential provision and SCC would encourage providers of all sizes and related areas of interest to attend. In order to make these discussions as productive as possible it is important for a wide variety of organisations to take part and have the opportunity to give their views. Discussions are likely to take the form of workshop sessions and enable both Mental Health services and Dementia services to be addressed separately.
It is hoped that the event will enable a useful dialogue between SCC and interested organisations on the future model and aspects of the potential procurement process prior to the launch in the summer.
Due to the venue size we ask that no more than three representatives attend from each organisation. Organisations that take part will not be advantaged or disadvantaged in any way in any potential future formal procurement. Commercial confidentiality will be respected. This notice does not represent a formal commitment by the Council to undertake a procurement procedure.
