<p>Cambridgeshire County Council is undertaking a Soft Market Test in relation to their Minor Works Framework and is seeking feedback on its intended approach.</p>
<p>Cambridgeshire County Council currently utilises a framework of building contractors to undertake “minor works” across the estate, including corporate offices, day centres, children centres and primary schools. </p>
<p>The Council is assessing the need to re-procure the framework and are seeking input from the market on options in regards to the intended lot structure on how the new framework may look and work.</p>
<p>This Framework is the primary route for undertaking small to medium scale (in terms of price) building works across the Councils building estate (up to, and around the £1m mark). The framework (please see below for Lot Structure) is currently made up of 12 contractors across 3 lots which covers builders work of all varieties. Each lot is based on a pricing band, schemes are sent to a lot based on expected cost of the work. Schemes are generally sent out as a designed scheme, and contractors are expected to price on a traditional basis, sometimes with an element of contractors design. This framework however is not a design and build framework.</p>
