Halton Borough Council is currently considering options for commissioning an Events Management service to deliver a Skills Show for the Health Sector and testing the market to establish if there are suitable organisations that can provide this service.

This service will focus upon promoting wider career choices by bringing together employers and employees, both existing and potential, who are aged 15 years and over.

Brief Summary of Service Specification

The service will be required to deliver all wraparound (end to end) services associated with the planning and delivery of a large Skills Show including:
• Promotion and Marketing, in accordance with ESF Branding & Publicity Rules and any sponsorship requirements
• Facilitating the engagement of employers and attendees
• Event Production & Design – design of event content / timings, floor plans, producing of risk assessments, CDM plans, emergency policies & procedures, safeguarding management, venue procurement & management, contractor procurement & management
• Event Delivery – On the day management & oversight of all ‘Event Build’ & ‘Event Open’ times, including venue, contractors, exhibitor & attendee liaison, Exhibit / Vendor and Registration management
• Collection of feedback and full evaluation
• Completion of all necessary documentation
• Adherence to all applicable and relevant legislation

The service will deliver a Skills Show to an agreed attendance target, that is fully engaging and provides career inspiration, motivation and guidance through the demonstrating of entry routes and career progression for apprenticeships and traineeships.

Budget would include:
• Marketing and promotional giveaways
• Venue
• Power
• Suitable shell/divider & furniture required
• Appropriate staging/AV/PA required
• Any production infrastructure or staffing required, to include Apprentice Ambassadors
• Evaluation report
