ASC0279 - Assessment and Equipment Service for People who are Deaf, Deafened and Hard of Hearing

<p>Leicester City Council intends to commission an Assessment and Equipment Service for people aged 18 and over, who are deaf, deafened or hard or hearing, who live within the boundary of the city of Leicester.&nbsp;</p>

<p>It is anticipated that tenders for service opportunities arrangements is likely to be sought around August 2022 to enable new contract(s) to begin from 1^st April 2023. The current contract ends on the 31^stMarch 2023.</p>

<p>As part of the commissioning process, the Council would like to undertake a soft market test. This gives potential providers and other stakeholders the opportunity to express their interests and feed in their views about the potential service model and service definitions. The commissioners will use the information to appraise options and further develop the specification. This engagement is specifically aimed at specialist providers of services for deaf people</p>

<p>This process does not constitute a formal tender or other competitive bidding process and will not result in the letting of a Contract. The commissioners are using this process solely to test the market to gather information and ascertain the level of interest in this particular service. There are therefore no formal criteria which commissioners will use to judge your responses, and it is not our intention to provide any feedback.</p>

However you should note that in any subsequent procurement exercise the Council will have to comply with our legal obligations and that neither the intention nor the purpose of this soft market testing exercise is to confer any advantage upon its participation in any future procurement process.
