(NU/1728) Building Works Measured Term Contract

<p>The University is looking to renew the measured term contract for building works of its existing premises throughout the campus. The university has over 100 buildings on and off campus ranging from teaching space and lecture theatres, laboratories and workshops, office space, student accommodation, farms and sports facilities. Building work may be undertaken in all of these environments. The scope of works includes the provision of various buildings works as and when required for the repairs, maintenance and improvements of the University premises. The University typically contracts for these works using a Measured Term Framework Agreement. The University typically spends &pound;2.5million to &pound;5million per annum on these works. No guarantee of any works or to the total value of any works to be procured under this contract is given or implied by the University. This tender is for the appointment of contractors to deliver a framework to undertake building refurbishment and improvement works throughout the Universities property portfolio. The framework contractor will be expected to: 1. undertake building work as a sole project; 2. attend site within 1 week to understand what each scheme entails and provide the quotation for the scheme within 1 week of attending site; 3. suitably resource each scheme and complete the works within the prescribed timescale supplied by the appropriate project manager; 4. have sufficient supervisory staff on site to ensure that all schemes are undertaken safely and within the prescribed timescale; 5. be inducted by the appropriate project manager and expected to adhere to the requirements set out in the induction at all times; 6. provide all equipment, consumables and protective clothing and safety equipment to undertake the works; The University is looking to have the framework contract for works in place by 1st April 2022. The duration of the contactor shall be 2 years with the option of additional 2 years extension.</p>
