Description
In January 2016, the University commenced data logging on twelve of its water meters.

This has proved extremely useful, in highlighting areas of water waste and where improvements to our metering infrastructure are required.

We now wish to extend the monitoring of our existing meters, and install new meters to aid our efforts to reduce water use.

This procurement is for a contractor who can provide water services, including:

> data logging services of our Fiscal and sub meters across our City and Coach Lane Campus (to commence as existing data logging expires) including:
> web portal to show all data, real time or minimum of day+1, and enable data download
>? data frequency to be of 15 minute data granularity
>? unlimited number of users, and ability to restrict access to only certain sites for some users
>? include comparison graphs and daily consumptions for each meter
access to web portal and data should continue for at least one year after the end of the contract
> transfer of data to third parties (e.g. Systemslink Energy Monitoring Software) daily by automatic FTP email or similar
> daily checking and alert service (365 days a year); monitoring of all meters, and providing email and text notifications to site if abnormal use is detected 365 days per year
> advice and analysis – benchmarking, trends, comparisons
quarterly review meetings of water consumption at Northumbria University
> maintaining water logging equipment and carrying out repairs or replacement of data logging equipment free of charge within 72 hours
> Liaison with NWL for installation of new loggers to fiscal meters
> leak/loss detection and repairs
> building audits and reports to identify potential water saving solutions
> installation of new water meters
> installation of new valves on existing water infrastructure
> surveys of campus wide water infrastructure to provide recommendations for further resilience and cost improvements

The contract is for an initial period of 36 months, with an option for a further 2 x 12 month extensions
