Description
The Royal Borough of Greenwich is seeking to commission a service for the provision of accommodation and community based support for victims of Domestic Abuse, in line with the Royal Borough of Greenwich Joint Commissioning strategy 2017-22 and the Homeless Reduction Act 2017.

This commissioning strategy is a proposal to organisations across Royal Greenwich to work in partnership, including public, voluntary, community and faith organisations, to make the best use of existing collective resources and where possible identify additional resources, to address the crucial issue of domestic violence and abuse.

Within our current provision there are currently 5 refuges managed by a single provider in the borough. The provider offers 3 x generic refuges, single specialist refuge for single women with substance issues and an Asian refuge.

This provider is also contracted to provide floating support to 60 female Greenwich residents at any one time. This also includes support to residents with more complex needs such as substance misuse.

The service is also a central point of contact for the general public and agencies, inclusive of refuge referrals, telephone and email inquiries and also provides the central point of referral for Greenwich residents requiring Sanctuary provision, assessing suitability for the scheme, and liaising with the Disability and Home improvement Team in regard to installing those home adaptations.

The purpose of the event is to alert providers of this tendering opportunity and to give potential bidders the opportunity to ask questions about the proposed service. In addition, there will be an opportunity in for the form of a workshop to offer feedback and input into what the service might ultimately look like. The event would be organised around 2 key presentations from commissioners within RBG and our Corporate Procurement. After the presentations there will be an opportunity for a Question and Answer session before we break for refreshments. We will then reconvene for the work shop where you will be given the opportunity to provide more feedback on our commissioning strategy and the proposed service specification.

There will be a market engagement event on the 28th June 2018. The venue is YMCA Sarah Turnball House, 43 Brewhouse Road, Woolwich Dockyard, London SE18 5SH. To participate in the market engagement event, pontential tenderers should first register on the e-tendering suite- https://royalgreenwich.proactishosting.com/ and confirm their attendance.
