Description
Swindon Borough Council invites expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced service providers for the provision of management of the TechSwindon campaign, culminating in a major event.

Project Description
An exciting opportunity exists to coordinate Switch On To Swindon’s inaugural TechSwindon project. We are looking for someone with a passion for Swindon’s business growth, good local network connections, excellent understanding of the digi-tech industry and proven organisational project and event management skills to turn this great idea with some sponsorship interest, into a fully-funded long term campaign to support development of the TechSwindon industry cluster, with small and large events and promotion of key messages.

The Project aims are:
- to work with partners to develop the local digi-tech cluster;
- to showcase Swindon’s digi-tech capability to attract inward investment and a pipeline of additional skilled staff.

Activity will include working with the Swindon Borough Council Business & Economy Team and a small Switch On To Swindon working party to plan and deliver the project and campaign; liaise with local digi-tech support programmes and the industry to encourage collaboration across the industry. The Coordinator must sign-up financial contributors, and plan and promote a 12 month campaign culminating in a major event.

The Coordinator contract is suitable for a self-employed individual or company and will have flexible hours to fit with the programme.

Swindon Borough Council will host and manage the contract, which is funded by locally-based companies as part of a TechSwindon sponsorship package.

The initial contract term will be for 6 weeks (phase 1), which of successful and both parties agree will be extended to the 31st July 2020, as stated in the ITT documents. Estimated contract spend is £5,000 in phase 1, then £37,154 across the remainder of the potential contract term.

Clarifications to be submitted in writing via e-mail, including the project name and DN reference clearly in the subject title, to jstuckey@swindon.gov.uk by 19th July 2019, 17:00:00 hrs UK Local time.

The Council’s responses to these clarification questions will be uploaded as attachments on the project webpage attachments section. Therefore it is the Contractor’s responsibility to check the site regularly for updates to clarifications, as you will not be advised when updates have been made.

Questionnaire Responses are required to be submitted no later than 25th July 2019, 16:00:00 hrs UK Local time. by e-mail, including the project name and DN reference clearly in the subject title to jstuckey@swindon.gov.uk only.
