Any extension to the contract will be dependent on the bidder being able to demonstrate as a minimum:

• Added value from improved efficiencies
• Production of management information and invoices
• Management of the contract
• Contract Performance

Dates of the Event for 2017: 15 – 17 September 2017

The 2018 Event will be held in July 2018 date to be confirmed.
The 2019 Event will be held in September 2019 date to be confirmed.

Background Information/specification

Sefton Council’s Tourism Section is responsible for arranging events for the Southport area which includes the Southport Air Show each year. This is a hugely popular event with attendance figures of approx. 60,000.

Sefton Council is looking for a suitable Catering Contractor who can provide at least 32 catering units at the Southport Air Show. These units should cater for the following:

• Up to 16 Mobile Vehicles selling a variety of hot and cold food
• Up to 6 mobile Vehicles selling alcoholic beverages
• Up to 10 mobile Vehicles selling ice cream and soft drinks

Sales at each location are to be conducted from a mobile vehicle, the design and type of which must meet with the Council’s approval.

Bidders must have the finance available and be in a position to take up the Concession Agreement if such is offered by the Council. Any bidder not complying with this requirement may prejudice his right to be considered for a concession in future years.

The Council shall only consider the highest overall scoring bid offered from a bidder at his known address to prevent the submission of multiple bids. Sub-letting is not allowed. The Council will take action against the bidder for any breaches of covenant.

Upon the submission of a quotation, the bidder will be deemed to have full knowledge of all the facts relating to the concession.

The site covers the following areas:-
• Southport Beach between Weld Road and Fairways Marine Drive
• Between Weld Road and Fairways to include the Trade Village Princes Park (space for 1 ice cream/unit)

Locations of units are subject to agreement of the Event Organisers.
