Contract Description:
The London Borough of Tower Hamlets (LBTH) is proposing to hold a Supplier Briefing Session on Tuesday 7th March 2017, for The Provision Of Specialist Passenger Transport Services transporting vulnerable adults and children to day centres and schools respectively and making the return journeys to home later in the day.

Most of the requirements are for set, daily routes but a provision for additional, ad-hoc journeys is also required.

The range of vehicles necessary to provide the service will include cars, mini-buses and small coaches and providers will have to be able to meet this requirement.

Passenger assistants will be required on the majority if not all of the journeys as will the ability to board and assist passengers in wheelchairs and with other mobility difficulties.

It is intended that at least five successful bidders will be appointed onto a Framework from where services will be called off for delivery via a Service Level Agreement.

Time: 2pm – 4pm
Place: Tower Hamlets Council Mulberry Place, Clove Crescent, E14.

The Purpose of this event is to inform the market of the Council's intent to tender for specialist passenger transport services and the processes and requirements that will need to be followed and met to tender for this opportunity.

Deadline for registration to attend the Supplier Briefing (via the portal):

Tuesday 28th February 2017 by 12:00:00 Noon

To book a place to attend the supplier briefing, please submit your registration for the event via following link on the London Tenders Portal:

Confirmation of bookings will be sent via the London Tenders Portal after 28th February 2017. Note that places are limited and to avoid disappointment, you will need to express an interest as soon as possible and Complete the information required on the Portal. Each company will be allowed no more than 2 representatives to attend the event.

Supplementary Information:
Interested Suppliers should note the following:
• The Supplier Briefing Session is not a part of the formal Procurement process, which has not yet begun;
• The Council intends, after the Briefing Session, to begin a formal process with the issue of formal invitations to the market in the normal way, and commencing with an OJEU notice;
• Potentially interested Suppliers are encouraged to book places to attend the event, but attendance is entirely at Supplier discretion, and Council scoring of any future bids will take no account of attendance at the Briefing;
• Cost of attendance is entirely at the cost of suppliers;
• Suppliers will be limited to 2 places per Supplier, and names must be given in advance;
• At the briefing, the Council will give a PowerPoint presentation of what the proposed procurement will plan to achieve;
• Supplier questions at the Briefing will be taken, and answered in writing to all Suppliers. This will ensure continuity of information to all suppliers and potential suppliers.
