To provide quality short break activities for children and young people with a range of disabilities.
All children attending the group activities will learn new skills, promote independence, self confidence and support the development of social skills and friendship building:
• Drama: the children and young people will develop new social skills by learning how to act, direct, make scenery and lead discussions, make decisions. They will learn how to debate whilst keeping calm, learning to take turn, respect each other and be patient.
• workshops, gain confidence, make friends and develop social skills
• Dance: the children and young people will learn & develop new gross and fine motor skills, improve their health and wellbeing, self confidence and self awareness
• Music and Art: the children and young people will learn new skills related to sensory awareness and sound, enjoy the holidays

All children attending the group activities will learn new skills, promote independence, self confidence and support the development of social skills and friendship building:
Activities to be provided for various groups for children and young people aged between 8 and 18 years.
All groups will offer parents/carers a break from caring as per the duty that came into effect in 2011.
There must be a choice of activities in the community and at a setting which is easily accessible for parent/carers to drop off their child either by car or public transport, and secure for children and young people with a range of disabilities. (The venue ideally should be located centrally in the borough e.g. in Twickenham, Teddington or Richmond).
Staff providing the short break activities must be experienced working with children and young people with a range of disabilities and relevant training provided for staff when working with individual children/young people e.g. epilepsy, moving and handling, ASD
The group must deliver activities of interest and stimulating day trips to children and young people to include:
o Dance and music,
o Sports such as cycling, swimming
o A weekly youth group in the evening for young people aged between 14 and 18 years
