<p>This advert is intended to notify potential suppliers of the tender for Llanthony Road (GSWB) Carriageway Widening and Cycleway Scheme, between Spinnaker Junction and Llanthony Road / A430 merge. The site is found to the east of Gloucester near Llanthony Priory (approx. postcode GL2 5JH).</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>This scheme will improve vehicular capacity along the GSWB, which is a strategic link from the M5 and is the primary route network south of Gloucester to the A417 west of Westgate Bridge. Alongside the introduction of additional running lanes both north and south, the scheme will also introduce a fully compliant LTN 1/20 cycleway as well as a shared use path on the west side of the carriageway. As part of these works existing junctions at St Ann&rsquo;s Way, Spinnaker Road, Submeadow Road and Hemmingsdale Road are also subject to improvements.</p>

<p>This contract is looking for a Principal Contractor to deliver the construction phase.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>Construction Phase key Deliverables are as follows:</p>
<ul>
<li>Provide suitable Traffic Management during the construction works.</li>
<li>Pedestrian access to local residents at all times during the construction works.</li>
<li>Utility diversion works (being arranged by GCC for PC to liaise/accommodate).</li>
<li>New drainage attenuation works and tie-in to existing.</li>
<li>Remove existing and install new kerbs to match new alignment.</li>
<li>Carriageway, Cycleway and new shared use path construction.</li>
<li>Traffic Signal and Street Lighting upgrades.</li>
</ul>

<p>The proposed procurement route will be a single stage (Open Procedure) using the NEC4 ECC form of Contract, Option A Priced Contract with Activity Schedule.</p>
<p>Full details will be available in the tender pack that we advertised through the ITT stage on <strong><u>Friday 1st April&nbsp;2022.</u></strong></p>
<p>Suppliers will need to register on the system in order to participate. Registration is free and we recommend that suppliers register now to avoid delay once the opportunity is advertised.</p>
