Cambridgeshire County Council Innovation Fund

To manage and give account for a grant programme, promoting take-up by organisations, groups and individuals, and overseeing the delivery of value for money projects that will provide benefits to individuals and communities in Cambridgeshire, and will achieve savings for the Council.

The successful provider will provide the following services:
• Seek approval and sign off of the funding criteria from the Council
• Participate at the Fund Panel including Council officers, County Councillors, and representative of the service provider.
• Promote the Fund to potential applicants through local media such as channels established with networks in the community and voluntary sector, word of mouth, newsletters, website and direct mailing.
• Provide necessary information, guidance and support to potential applicants.
• Signpost individuals and/or groups needing help on matters such as DBS, equal opportunities, constitutions etc to local community and voluntary sector support organisations.
• Provide an online funding application system such as service provider’s own website. In exceptional cases make available hard copy application to individuals or groups, on request.
• Assess grant applications with reference to eligibility criteria and specific Fund criteria, and make recommendations for awards to the Council’s Nominated Officer and the Fund Panel.
• Manage contractual arrangement with successful grant applicants.
• Distribute payments to successful grant applicants.
• Arrange publicity from time to time for the Fund and projects, which it supports.
• Monitor funded projects and provide feedback on their progress to the Council’s Nominated Officer and the Fund Panel in interim reviews and reports.
• Take corrective action if projects have drifted or not done what they said they would do.
• Attend evaluation meeting(s) at the end of the project and provide a final report to the Council’s Nominated Officer and the Fund Panel on conclusion of the last project.
