Description
Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking to secure a vendor for a concession contract for ice cream and associated ice products for Rother Valley country Park and Clifton Park.

The contract is due to commence on 4 April 2019 and time is therefore of the essence.
.
Accompanied supplier visits will take place on 16th January 2019 for those suppliers who wish to have a site visit. To secure details on who to contact the various parks to arrange a visit, you need to access the tender documentation where contact details are provided.

The tender closing date for clarifications is 22nd January 2019 so it is important that any bidders wishing to tender for the contract.

Rother Valley Country Park attracts 650,000 to 750,000 visitors per annum. Most of these visits take place between April and October daily and weekends throughout the year. When the weather is good the park can have up to 10,000 visitors / day.

New Developments are planned for the park in the future including Waleswood Caravan and Camping Park with 163 pitches of which 90 super pitches will be available all year round. This facility will be available from spring 2019 and attract more visitors to the park who stay longer in the area.

Clifton Park attracts 1,200,000 to 1,500.000 visitors per annum. Most of these visits take place between April and October daily and weekends throughout the year. When the weather is good the park can have up to 15,000 visitors / day.

A £7.6 million investment was made in Clifton Park’s infrastructure in 2010 which has led to annual Green Flag Awards including being voted on of the Uk’s 10 favourite parks for the last three years in the Green Flag People’s Choice Awards. The park has a 96% satisfaction rating with visitors (Summer 2017) and continues to grow its audience.
