Redevelopment and Restoration of Old Library Tuebrook - Historic Repairs Sub-Contactor

The PAS91 PQQ has been designed to assess the suitability of a Supplier to be included on the heritage repairs sub contractor select list, for the Old Library Tuebrook project.

The purpose of this PQQ is to select a list of specialist historic repair contractors which will be used as a select list of potential domestic subcontractors to be included within the main contract ITT.

Please note by applying for this PQQ you are not precluded from applying for the main contract as well, albeit if successful on the list for the main contract, your name will be removed from the list of ‘approved’ subcontractors


• Full repair and restoration of the existing building incorporating the retention of key features identified in the conservation plan.
• Adaptation and conversion of the existing building to provide the range of spaces outlined in the accommodation schedule.
• Addition of a new build extension to house ancillary functions including kitchens, deliveries and dining space.
• New building services to be provided throughout.
• Consideration of the external areas to provide adequate external play and public outside space to compliment the proposed uses.
• Opening up of the existing boundaries to make the building more readable.
• Create a welcoming public face to the building that encourages people to use the facility.
• Consideration of the building entrance position parking and drop off location.
• Create a secure environment for childcare, in accordance with Ofsted/ DofE requirements
• The completed facility to be fully accessible (within the limitations of the existing building).
