The Provision of an Adult's Social Care Casework Management and Finance System
Main contract details
We would expect the solution to be tried and tested with a wide user base and include the following:
• Easy to use case management functionality
• Workflow functionality that allows SGC to define processes that leads the user screen by screen through the work they need to do and the data they need to record.
• Integrated electronic document management functionality, or be agnostic to a third party document management system.
• A mobile working solution that allows users work off-line (in settings with no network coverage e.g. remote parts of South Glos).
• Financial functionality sufficient to allow the setting and monitoring of budgets i.e. SUs and SGC teams, pay providers and SUs (via our Civica exchequer system) and with appropriate functionality to put through adjustments (e.g. recovering overpayments).
• The ability for the client to make changes to the system configuration (e.g. to handle new codes, new data collection requirements (whether mandated by government or not), create/amend workflows, add/amend screens, add/amend reports etc) without having to amend add programming code and/or make bespoke changes to the database structure.
• A user experience for all parts of it look and behave in the same way. Although it be different for different users. This is of particular significance for access via the portal.
• The ability to produce pdf print outs that are user friendly and easy for the citizen to read.
The contract shall initially be for a period of 5 years, with an option to extend for up to a further 4 years at the discretion of the Council. If required by the Council contract extension(s) may be on a year by year basis.
