Please note that this is notice of a Market Briefing Day to be held on 27 September 2018. This notice is purely for registration of interest of attending the event.
Barnsley Council is committed to its services being best in class. An efficient and effective housing repairs, servicing and capital improvements service across the Borough is a top priority, and one of the keystones of Council policy. We already have good provision with:-

We intend to maintain and improve upon a strong history of partnership working to make the most of our resources.
The current contract for the provision of housing repairs, servicing and capital improvement ends 31st March 2020, The procurement route for the new single provider contract maintains the current model, namely two thirds of the work to be allocated to Berneslai Homes Construction Services (BHCS) under a Service Level Agreement (SLA), and one third to be competitively tendered to the Private Sector in the open market.
Day to day management of this contract is a function delegated by the Council to Berneslai Homes the Council’s Arm’s Length Management Organisation (ALMO).
The informal Market Briefing day has been arranged for contractors interested in this opportunity which will give an overview of the contract and the procurement process followed by a Q&A session.
The event will take place from 12 noon at the Barnsley Football Club, Grove Street, Barnsley S71 1ET, on the 27 September 2018
Please register your interest in attending via the messages area on the YORtender portal (https://www.yortender.co.uk) by 5pm on the 24 September 2018 giving contact details and attendees names. Places will be limited to two representatives per organisation.

The formal procurement process will be subject to a further notice to which suppliers will need to register their interest in order to access the documents.
