Nottingham City Homes is an Arms’ Length Management Organisation (ALMO) created in 2005 by Nottingham City Council to manage its housing stock of 27,500 rented homes and over 1,000 leasehold properties. This includes approximately 18,000 houses and bungalows, 2,000 high rise flats and almost 8,000 low rise flats (including independent living accommodation for older people).

The Nottingham City Homes (NCH) Corporate Plan 2018-21 places customers at the heart of service delivery. Our goals for the lifetime of this Plan reflect our ambition to be the best social housing organisation in the UK:

• To listen to our tenants and deliver an excellent housing service
• To make all our estates great places to live
• To build high quality, affordable new homes for local people
• To diversify our services, re-investing in our communities
• To be a great place to work.

Following the successful completion of our Decent Homes Programme Nottingham City Homes (NCH) is now focusing on the improvement of its estates in line with its Decent Neighbourhood Strategy.

To achieve its strategy Nottingham City Homes requires a Fencing and a Horticultural contractor. The tender will be divided into two lots:

Lot 1 Delivery of Fencing Work
Lot 2 Delivery of Horticultural Services

The appointed contractors will have work allocated based on, schedule of rates, value of the project, geographical location, current and projected workloads, contractor’s performance and capabilities, achievable targets within specific time frames and budgets, available resources required to deliver specific projects, number of trainees and any other factors that may influence the designation. Please be aware that no work volumes can be guaranteed, however, discussions with each contractor about work and area will continue through the programme.

The contract shall commence from the 1st April 2019 – 31st March 2021 with a duration of 2 years with the possibility to extend the contract further 2 years.

For guidance purposes only, it is anticipated that the total value works over the 2-year period will amount to approximately £2,500,000.00. Note that this is the total value of the contract for both Lot 1.0 and Lot 2.0 combined.
