<p>Accredited provider list (APL) for climate change trainers.</p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: &quot;Arial&quot;, sans-serif">As part of our Luton 2020 – 2040 vision, we recognise the impact of climate change. The council set out an ambition to make Luton a net zero town by 2040. Achieving this commitment will require action and innovation from residents and organisations across Luton to reduce our net carbon emissions over the next two decades. With this commitment at the heart of the vision we will work in partnership to ensure that our homes, our schools, our infrastructure, our businesses and our airport are all sustainable.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: &quot;Arial&quot;, sans-serif">Luton Council is looking to work closely with the UCL Climate Action Unit (CAU) and receive support in building a group of climate champion teachers in the LBC’s schools. The CAU will train a small team (e.g. 2-3) of people with experience of working in/with schools in becoming the trainers (“equippers”). These equippers will build the capacity of a larger group (e.g. 12) of teachers – future schools’ climate champions – to work towards the formulation of a climate action plan for their schools.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: &quot;Arial&quot;, sans-serif">We are looking to form an Accredited Providers List (APL) for the required services/training. We will allow maximum of 10 suppliers to be part of the APL, providing they pass award criteria, outlined in the Invitation to Tender (ITT) document. Work will be offered to the accredited suppliers, starting from the supplier with the highest total score. We are looking for 2 years contract, with year one being a Pilot year. </span></p>
