CP1249-16 Oracle E-Business Suite Suite Support and DBA Services

Devon County Council (DCC) operates components of Oracle E-Business Suite to perform its payroll operations and to pay the employees of DCC and various other organisations. In addition, Oracle and Microsoft SQL databases and systems underpin many of Devon County Council’s key business critical services.

Devon County Council wishes to engage a suitably accredited supplier to provide a comprehensive support and maintenance service for Oracle E-Business Suite software to include Oracle database administration (DBA)services and the provision of Microsoft SQL DBA services.
The period of this contract will be for three (3) years with optional two (2) x twelve (12) months extensions to a maximum term of five (5) years.
The expected contract value for the initial three (3) years is between £150,000 and £165,000.

This contract will be carried out by the Suppliers’ staff on DCC systems to ensure their wellbeing and good function. This will involve working in partnership with and liaising with DCC’s ICT and business staff, third-party suppliers and partners where applicable.
Activities will include professional DBA Services, providing design, build, installation, configuration, management and support of the Oracle and Microsoft SQL enterprise databases that drive Devon County Council’s applications, web sites and related ICT services.
The Supplier will remotely and on site provide a fully comprehensive Oracle and SQL DBA and Oracle Apps DBA service including support, maintenance and development of DCC’s Oracle and SQL estate with or without involvement of specialist DCC IT staff.
Support services are required remotely and on site on a full 5 days per week (Mon-Fri) to include Out of Hours support on an unlimited basis.
