Soft Market Testing - CTP893 0-19yrs Public Health Nursing Services
Main contract details
The aim of the service is to promote and protect the health of children in Derbyshire and to reduce the difference between those with the worst and best health. The service will be delivered by Specialist Community Public Health Nurses (Health Visiting/School Nursing) and incorporate the Healthy Child Programme Pregnancy to 19 yrs; Community, Universal, Universal Plus and Universal Partnership Plus levels of service; and a focus on the High Impact Areas identified by Public Health England. The successful provider will work collaboratively with other organisations, specifically Local Authority Children’ s Services and Public Health Leads.
The informal discussions will enable the Council to:
• Gauge the likely level of interest in the project prior to going to the market
• Better understanding what solutions and services are available within the market
• Explore how the options could be delivered
• Consider the likely costs; and
• Determine the most effective way of delivering the service
Derbyshire County Council intends to advertise the opportunity for the re-procurement of 0-19yrs Public Health Nursing Services late August 2018.
The new contract will commence on 01 October 2019 for 4 years with the option to extend for a further 2 x 12 month periods with an estimated total contract value of up to £79m.
