The London Borough of Croydon invites suitable expressions of interest and tenders from suppliers to 782/2019 Health & Care Personal Assistant Support Service (Direct Payments And Personal Health Budgets)
The Council and CCG wish to improve the personalisation ,choice and control held by Croydon residents by making a significant increase in the number of local people who use Direct Payments and or Personal Health Budgets to arrange their own care and support.

The Council and CCG wish to
a. Significantly increase the number of residents with a Personal Assistant;
b. Significantly increase the numbr of people employed within Croydon as a Personal Assistant;
c. Help residents with Personal Assistants to be good employers who retain their Personal Assistants;
d. Improve the capability and capacity of the local market of Personal Assistants through training advice and other support.

The contract term will be for a period of 2 (two) years with the option to extend for a further two periods of up to 12 months each up to a maximum of four (4) years.

The anticipated contract start date will be the 1st November 2019. The overall value of the contract is estimated at £480,000 over four years.

This tender process is being carried out under a one stage open tender procurement under the Light Touch Regime of the PCR 2015 for the purposes of procuring the contract.
The Council requires the successful Service Providers to comply with the London Living Wage.
