The Market Engagement for the supply of accommodation and non accommodation based Housing Related Support Services. Focusing on the remodelling of the following services:
• Floating Support Services – Housing & Community Services (HCS)
• Floating Support Services – Mental Health Services (MHS)
• 24 Hour Complex Needs accommodation – HCS
• 24 Hour Complex Needs accommodation – MH
• Foyer Service – Children and Young Persons Social Care (CYPSC)
• Housing First Service

The purpose and aims of this early market engagement exercise is to:

• Ensure services meet the needs of the people of Poole when delivering its statutory duties.
• Increase the support opportunities for clients with high level needs.
• Increase Homelessness prevention activity across the borough
• Increase joined up working across Council departments for the benefit of service users and to provide value for money
• Focus on providing support and options available to achieve long-term housing stability to those needing housing related support.
• Increase options for transitional accommodation.
• Increase move on to settled accommodation – particularly within the private rented sector.
• Ensure Housing Related Support Services are outcome based and focused on empowering service users to develop skills to improve their circumstances and to ensure their safety.
• Support people to maintain their independence within the community
• Reduce the number of people entering more intensive forms of care
• Support people to achieve employment and training opportunities and to participate in community activity.

The market engagement consists of:
1. An invitation to download and respond to a Soft Market Testing Questionnaire, which seeks your views to assist the Council achieve the objectives of the market engagement activity. Closing date for responses is 26th May 2016.
2. The opportunity to attend a Market Engagement Event on Wednesday 1st June 2016 at Upton House, Poole which will provide further opportunity to give feedback and comment on our commissioning plans.

The Market Engagement Event is intended for up to 2 senior managers (ideally one operational manager/practitioner and one commercial/financial manager) from each company with experience of successfully providing Housing Related Support Services.

Please download, complete and return the booking form to reserve your place. Reservations will be accepted up to 26th May 2016 via www.supplyingthesouthwest.org.uk . Attendance is not restricted to only those fully completing the Soft Market Testing Questionnaire. If you have missed the 26th May deadline but would like to attend the Engagement Event, reservations can be made, up to and including 31st May, by email to H.Langhor@poole.gov.uk
