Attock Toddler Play Park

<p>This is a tender opportunity for works to construct and improve an existing toddler play area including new equipment, fencing and gates. The works will provide additional play items, some of which have been commissioned in advance and will require install only on some items. This is generally quite a modest scheme but will need to be executed well with good finish. We are hoping to start on site around September which will allow the existing site to be utilised for play during summer holidays and allow lead in times for equipment. The works are estimated at around 4-6wk form start to finish and there is no maintenance required at practical completion. We are looking for suitable contractors with experience of delivering similar schemes. This is a standalone contract and not a framework.</p>
<p>The site is located in a deprived area of Bradford and is being funded through the Better Start program but will be managed by CBMDC council Landscape Design Unit. Better Start Bradford works with expectant families and families with children aged 0-3 in Bowling and Barkerend, Bradford Moor and Little Horton areas to help give children the best possible start in life. To do this we&rsquo;ve developed and commissioned a range of innovative projects, all of which address one or more of the following themes: Social and emotional development Language and communication Health and nutrition Working alongside a host of local partners &ndash; both organisations and individuals &ndash; we aim to leave a lasting legacy for children, families and the whole area.</p>
<p>We are funded by The National Lottery Community Fund, using National Lottery funding, for 10 years (until 2025) and are governed by a Partnership Board. Work is being evaluated by Born in Bradford.</p>
