Description
Harrogate Borough Council is seeking a suitable contractor to supply and install replacement entrance doors to council owned domestic dwellings and public buildings. Orders placed for supply and Installation will be made on an ad-hoc basis. As the work is ad-hoc, there is not a set number of installations. As a guide, in the past 12 months, 30 installations were required.
A style drawing of typical examples offerred to tenants for front and rear external doors are attached at Appendix A. All are offerred with a minimum of 6 colours to external face, with white to the internal finish only.
Standard Order completion requirements from placement of PO to installation are no more than 6 weeks from receiving PO.
It is a requirement that the appointed contractor will make contact with the tenant early in the 6 week timeframe and arrange a convenient time for installation.

The appointed contractor must, provide a single point of contact, arrange tenant bookings, and deal professionally with complaints.

Bidders are required to return the ITT response document. Appendix B shows an example of the contract to be used for this tender.
The term of the contract, beginning in June 2018 will be for 2 years, with a possible further 2 x 12 month extensions, depending on satisfactory performance.
N.B. Harrogate Borough Council will not have any involvement with third parties. Only contractors able to manufacture and install will be considered for this tender.
