<p>This advert is intended to notify potential suppliers of the upcoming tender for B4063 Gloucester to Cheltenham Cycleway scheme between Pheasant Lane and Arle Court roundabout.</p>

<p>An introduction to this scheme will be provided at a supplier engagement event that will be held as a Microsoft Teams telecon on;</p>
<p><strong>Thursday 20<sup>th</sup> January 2022: 10:00hrs to 11:30hrs</strong></p>

<p>The site is found to the east of Cheltenham near GCHQ (approx. postcode GL51 0SU). This is part of a bigger scheme to address the needs of pedestrians and cyclists currently trying to use the A40 when travelling between the towns of Cheltenham and Gloucester. The overall scheme will implement a continuous cycleway for cyclists of all ages and abilities between the main hubs of Cheltenham and Gloucester, utilising London Road, Cheltenham Road, B4063, and part of the A40 between Arle Court roundabout and Benhall roundabout.</p>
<p>This contract is looking for a Principal Contractor to deliver the construction phase of Pheasant Lane to Arle Court. A more detailed summary of the works is included below:</p>
<p>Construction Phase key Deliverables are as follows:</p>
<p>&bull; Provide suitable Traffic Management during the construction works.</p>
<p>&bull; Pedestrian access to local residents at all times during the construction works.</p>
<p>&bull; Utility diversion works (being arranged by GCC for PC to liaise/accommodate).</p>
<p>&bull; New drainage works and tie-in to existing.</p>
<p>&bull; Highway and new shared use path construction.</p>
<p>&bull; Remove existing and install new kerbs to match new alignment.</p>
<p>&bull; New toucan crossing.</p>

<p>A summary of the outline programme for the scheme is shown below:</p>
<p>Tender period: Mon 17th Jan 2022 to Fri 18st Feb 2022 at 12 noon</p>
<p>Award: 7th March 2022</p>
<p>Anticipated Works Start Date: 4th April 2022 mobilisation &amp; site access</p>
<p>Completion: 28th October 2022</p>
<p>Overall Duration: 30 weeks approx.</p>
<p>Indicative Value: &pound;1m</p>

<p>The proposed procurement route will be a single stage (Open Procedure) using the NEC4 ECC form of Contract, Option A Priced Contract with Activity Schedule.</p>
