Description
The Council is re-procuring frameworks for Construction Contractors across several trades. Current frameworks are due to expire in May 2020 and the invitation to tender for a new replacement framework will be advertised on YORtender (www.YORtender.co.uk) in November. As such the Council will be hosting a supplier engagement event for contractors who may be interested in applying for this framework. Please find information on the range of categories, and link to booking a place should you wish to attend (Categories not listed are not part of this project). Please note attendance is not mandatory and anyone not attending the event will still be able to tender.

The categories included in the framework are:
Lot 1 Asbestos Removal and Disposal
Lot 2 Building and Construction
Lot 3 Carpentry and Joinery
Lot 4 Electrical Contractors
Lot 5 External Works and Groundworks
Lot 6 Flooring Contractors
Lot 7 Masonry and Bricklaying
Lot 8 Mechanical Services and Heating
Lot 9 Painting and Decorating
Lot 10 Plastering Contractors
Lot 11 Plumbing Contractors
Lot 12 Roofing Contractors
Lot 13 Suspended Ceilings Contractors
The Council has committed to supporting the local economy and would like to do more business with local contractors. It believes this will positively influence both local training and employment opportunities and the local economy, along with the benefit of contractors being able to provide high quality work within prompt response times.
The supplier engagement event will be held on the 5th of November, in the Banqueting Suite, City Hall, Bradford, BD1 1HY. The event will comprise two identical sessions running from 9:30 to 11:00, and 12:30 to 14:00. The sessions will provide an overview of the Council’s current and future construction frameworks, its Health and Safety requirements for construction works, its use of Constructionline and conclude with questions and answers.
There are limited spaces therefore the Council kindly requests that no more than 2 attendees from each organisation should attend. Slides used at the event and records of questions asked and answers provided will also be made available by the Council when it publishes its procurement documents on YORtender.
