Provison of care and support for a Learning Disability Supported Living and Domiciliary Outreach Ser...

Somerset County Council is working in partnership with a provider of a Learning Disability service in Somerset to transfer their whole service to a new, forward thinking provider. The service to be transferred in its entirety and would be an ideal additional provision to a provider already in the area or a new provider looking to provide excellent support in Somerset. The current provider will maintain the landlord function of the LD Supported Living accommodation.

This service operates mainly in and around the Mendip area, delivering person centred support, with a focus on increasing peoples independence through care and support to 35 individuals. There is a mix of Supported Living Accommodation as well as a Domiciliary Outreach Service. There is an established staff team which includes a mixture of care and support staff, seniors and a Registered Manager. Therefore, we expect that TUPE will apply.

It is anticipated that this will be a two stage tender process, under the Light Touch Regime. Timescales are extremely tight and therefore, this notice serves to alert the market to the upcoming tender.

The expected start date of this contract will be 01 September 2018.
