Viability Appraisal Reviews Tender

Lewisham Council (the Council) invites you to submit a Tender for consultancy services to provide expert independent viability advice on developer’s viability appraisals (including affordable housing proposals and related viability matters) submitted through the planning process. The consultant firm will need have a proven track record and appropriately quality professional staff in:

a) Undertaking site specific viability appraisal reviews within a large inner city environment, across a range of scenarios from small residential developments to large scale mixed use strategic developments;

b) Providing cost and building consultancy expertise to be able to scrutinise abnormal development costs;

c) Negotiating with applicants and/or their agent to secure an appropriate level of affordable housing and other necessary planning obligations in a timely manner;

d) Providing recommendations in a clear and simple manner both written and orally both to the layperson and expert as appropriate; and

e) Successfully supporting and defending the advice given at planning committees and at appeal.

The initial contract period is one year with the possibility of extensions totalling up to an additional one year at the Council's discretion.
