Adult Social Care - Market Position Statement (MPS) (*This is not a contract*)
Main contract details
Liverpool City Council has refreshed its Market Position Statement and we would encourage all providers of social care to take time to review the information we are sharing and provide us with some feedback.
You can view the document on the following web page:
http://liverpool.gov.uk/council/strategies-plans-and-policies/adult-services-and-health/adult-social-care-commissioning/
In publishing the MPS we are hoping to:
1. Highlight market opportunities.
2. Be clear about our approach to care and support.
3. Present information and analysis on current spend and outcomes.
4. Provide some analysis of the supply market.
5. Encourage Provider engagement in responding to change, and seeking out innovative new practices and solutions which have a positive impact for service users.
The format used in the MPS is based around one main web document which includes; high level commissioning priorities, financial challenges, demographics, and current supply activity data. This is then supplemented by individual appendices representing the forthcoming commissioning projects. These appendices currently cover: Residential and Nursing Care, Home Care, Supported Accommodation and Supported Living & Community Support, and Extra Care Schemes.
This will help us to ensure providers are presented with information at a time when it is most relevant to them, and the MPS becomes a ‘live’ document open to continuous feedback and modification by working with stakeholders.
If you are interested in providing feedback or wish to discuss future business opportunities in social care, please feel free to get in touch with us through the links on the web page.
Thank you
