ASC0295 - Drug & Alcohol Training Programme
Main contract details
The overall aim of the funding is to increase the proportion of people recovering from addiction in stable and secure housing. As part of the local implementation Leicester City Council is considering the development of a training programme aimed at increasing competence and confidence around the identification and response to substance misuse issues; and the role that housing services can play. The Council has allocated £53,968 in total over 2023-2025 for the delivery of this programme.
As part of the commissioning process, the Council is undertaking a soft market test to gauge the views and interest of the market in providing this training. The Council shall use the feedback from the SMT to appraise options and identify a preferred option for implementation. This might result in a tender exercise for this service.
This gives potential providers and other stakeholders the opportunity to express their interests and feed in their views about the commissioning proposals.
This process does not constitute a formal tender or other competitive bidding process and will not result in the letting of a Contract. The Council is using this process solely to test the market to gather information and ascertain the level of interest in this particular Service. There are therefore no formal criteria which will be used to judge your responses, and it is not our intention to provide any feedback.
We would encourage you to respond if you feel this is something your organisation may have an interest in.
If you would like to participate in this Soft Market Testing, then please complete the Soft Market Testing questionnaire located below and then email your completed questionnaire to the email address procurement-asc@leicester.gov.uk with the subject heading: ‘Completed SMT Q – Drug/Alcohol Training’ before or by no later than 14:00 hours on 5th May 2023.
Please note this is not a call for competition. The Council welcomes the opportunity to engage with and appreciate your assistance in providing us with your views. However you should note that in any subsequent procurement exercise the Council will have to comply with our legal obligations and that neither the intention nor the purpose of this soft market testing exercise is to confer any advantage upon its participation in any future procurement process.
