TFL 00716 - Supply of bespoke manufactured Metal Components - Early Market Engagement - PIN notice*

Transport for London (TfL) is inviting companies through London Underground Limited (LUL) to participate in the market engagement for the above procurement. The scope of this tender is to manufacture metal components which will be utilised within assemblies for various asset maintenance areas (Rolling stock, Track, and Signals).

The early market engagement activities will include a Market Sounding Questionnaire (MSQ), TfL seeks to obtain market feedback in relation to the procurement of bespoke metal components. Its primary focus is to better understand market/supplier appetite, capacity and capability, as well as perceived risks and opportunities and will be used to inform the procurement strategy.

Any feedback that we receive will be reviewed, analysed and may be taken into account in finalising the strategy. Responses will be treated in confidence and shared within TfL only. For your feedback to be taken into account it must be received by 5pm on 04/08/2017.


Terms of the Market Engagement:
LUL will manage this process in an open and transparent manner. Interested parties will not be prejudiced by any response or failure to respond to the market engagement exercise. Direct or indirect canvassing of any employee or agent of LUL, TfL or any TfL group company by any company concerning this requirement, or any attempt to procure information from any such employee or agent concerning this PIN outside of the formal process described in this document may result in the disqualification of the company from consideration of any future procurement activity.

This PIN is issued solely for the purposes of the market engagement. No information contained in this document, or provided during and for the market engagement exercise, constitutes any commitment by LUL, TfL or any other member of the TfL group or any of its or their stakeholders to undertake any procurement exercise in the future. This PIN does not constitute a call for competition to procure any services, supplies or works for LUL and LUL is not bound to accept any proposals offered. LUL is not liable for any costs, fees or expenses incurred by any party participating in the market engagement. Any possible future procurement of any services, supplies or works by LUL would be carried out strictly in accordance with the provisions of the applicable Utilities Contracts Regulations.
