Description
Cumberland Council is procuring Carer Support Services. The Provider will deliver Carer Support Services for the following activities across Cumberland:

• Identification of Carers not known to services to ensure they are being offered support and tracking outcomes from support offered.
• Provision of advice, information and guidance for Carers.
• Completion of statutory Carers Assessments and production of Support Plans where these are required (utilising a range of digital, telephone and face-to-face support channels including online self-assessment).
• Facilitating the development of support networks for Carers across Cumberland.

The council proposes to enter into the contract for an initial period of 2 years with the successful tenderer on Lots 1 and 2 and an initial period of 1 year for Lot 3.

There are 2 optional extensions for up to 12 months each for Lots 1 and 2 and 3 optional extensions up to 12 months each for Lot 3. These optional extensions are at the absolute discretion of the council.

If the contract runs for the initial period only it will end on 30/09/2027 for Lots 1 and 2 and for Lot 3 the Contract will end on 30/09/2026. If the contract uses all of the optional extension periods it will end on 30/09/2029.

The maximum total value of the overall Carers Support Service over the total contract period (including any extension period and uplifts) is a maximum value of £4.337m but no guarantee is given as to the actual value of the contract.

The breakdown of this total is: 20% Lot 1, 75% Lot 2 and 5% Lot 3.

In year 1 the total maximum budget is £982,000 are as follows: Lot 1: £196,400 Lot 2: £736,500; and Lot 3: £49,100. The Council may not accept bids that are above the maximum price.

Extension and uplift amounts are indicative only and the council does not guarantee these. Any extensions / uplifts will be confirmed with successful suppliers.
