KMCIRS-131 Sale of portfolio of 4 sites in Kirklees Council’s Registered Provider Cluster Programme

<p>This programme is a competitive land sale and development exercise, bringing a cluster of freehold Council owned sites forward for the construction of approximately 250 market and affordable homes. The Council is inviting Registered Provider &lsquo;Bidders&rsquo; that have achieved Strategic Partner status with Homes England, with pre-allocated funding for the construction of new homes to bid through this competitive process to acquire and develop the portfolio of sites for market and affordable housing. A competitive exercise will enable the Council to assess submissions, and to select its Preferred Partner. The Preferred Partner will scope and develop their own proposals and apply for planning permission for each site in the portfolio at risk. As planning permission is granted, the Preferred Partner will then be expected to acquire each site at market value and to develop it for market and affordable housing. The Council expects that the Preferred Partner will expeditiously develop out every site that is granted planning permission, and which is lawfully capable of implementation.</p>
