Empowering Recovery in Derbyshire

We are looking for people in Derbyshire to help us develop services for people in recovery.

We want them to help us understand what the needs are and how they can be best met by new and innovative services.

What is the plan?

To do this we’ve asked a team of experts from Leeds Trinity University to start a series of conversations to help us,, the aims of the launchpad event are to:

a. Increase the voice of lived experience in policy and practice

b. Improve pathways to and through residential treatment

c. Create the foundations for a sustainable recovery-oriented system of care in Derbyshire d. Specifically inform a competitive tender specification for a new DCC funded ‘recovery initiative’ to build upon the learning from the recovery grants

The focus is very much on community engagement, co-production and partnership. Our work to date will be focused on the core objectives of connection and empowerment and in creating meaningful coalitions between those with lived experience (in and out of treatment and including family members and affected others) as well as building a meaningful and accessible voice for the recovery community across Derbyshire

Who should come?

We start as we mean to go on. This will be an ongoing conversation that will co-create what works for Derbyshire. We’re encouraging anyone with an interest to come to the event to share thoughts and ideas; this includes:
