NWL114 Provision of Fencing Services - Supply and Installation

Provision of fencing services for the councils housing stock and for public areas across the district. North West Leicestershire District Council own and manage 4,300 homes for social rent and over 600 garages and garage sites available for lease. Homes range in size from one to five bedrooms and from houses to flats and sheltered accommodation with varied outside spaces. We also maintain all the district council's parks and open spaces; 155 hectares of open space, as well as being responsible for other public areas within the district. This includes Coalville Forest Adventure Park, Nature Alive, and Coalville Park. The Council is seeking to contract with a single supplier that has the resources and expertise to supply install and maintain fencing for its housing stock, open spaces and property portfolio across the district. The works will include but are not limited to supply, construction, installation, removal, disposal, realignment, maintenance and repairs of all types of fencing detailed in the specification. It is the Councils intention to contract with a single supplier to undertake these works. The contract period will be 3 years with the option to extend for a further 2 years subject to satisfactory performance.
The Supplier may also be required to undertake works outside of the district for neighbouring authorities at the request of the Council. The volume of this work for neighbouring authorities is not specified nor guaranteed and will be at the discretion of the Council. Additionally, over the lifetime of the contract, the scope and volume of work may increase due to demand, but as yet these potential increases are unknown variables. Any increases in the scope will be limited to 50% of the original contract value.
